Montclair State University is committed to ensuring that all full-time students have access to adequate health insurance coverage. Full-time students include:
- Undergraduate students enrolled in twelve (12) credits or more
- Graduate students enrolled for nine (9) or more credits
Full-time students must enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) OR be covered by a comprehensive health insurance plan that complies with the Affordable Care Act (ACA). To ensure compliance, you are automatically billed for SHIP, but you have the option to waive it by submitting a waiver online before the extended deadline of Tuesday, October 12, 2021.
